Consolidating the BMW Sailing Cup with the second edition. 6 One-Design Classes took part with more than 130 boats and 700 sailors. 650 guests were attended.

A magnificent second edition of the BMW Sailing Cup was closed with The Final Event. 10 teams competing from all the classes and classfying events held during the year.

Dubai (United Arab Emirates).
From 15th to 20th of April 2008.
Class: First 7.5
The winners of the National Final in Lanzarote, Javier Serrano´s team, went to Dubai for the World Final facing crews representing Germany, Emirates, Denmark, France, Italy, Malta, New Zealand and Great Britain. The Spaniards won the World Title defeating Italy on the final serie.
